iRecover

Post-exercise recovery in grassroots sport

Erasmus+ Sport, Cooperation Partnership

The challenge

Recovery is planned carefully in elite sport and almost never in grassroots and amateur sport, where young athletes accumulate physical and mental stress without monitoring.

The digital component

A digital platform that helps physical trainers design and deliver post-exercise recovery programmes, together with a handbook of recovery strategies for grassroots clubs.

Sport Innovation Hub's role

Partner in the consortium, contributing to the digital tools for trainers.

Show technical detail
  • Programme builder for trainers based on validated recovery strategies
  • Recovery-stress monitoring through short athlete self-report questionnaires
  • Trainer dashboard showing recovery-stress balance over time per athlete and group
  • Content library with the handbook integrated into the platform
  • Data on minors and wellbeing handled under GDPR with consent managed by the club
  • Multilingual across six countries

How this applies to your organisation

If you collect physiological or health data from athletes, this is the kind of work we can take on: a protocol agreed with sport scientists, consent flows, a defined legal basis and feedback the athlete and the staff can use.
