SPORT INNOVATION HUB · TECHNOLOGY

Technology to manage sport better.

We deploy platforms, applications and automations for clubs, federations, training providers and European projects.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Start by choosing the kind of organisation you represent.

Each solution is designed for one kind of organisation: the need it answers, a first service with a defined scope, and the references that are relevant to it.

  • Federations and associations

National and regional federations, leagues and sport associations

Licences, club registrations or competition data live in spreadsheets and email, and every season the same information is re-typed by several people.

One operational process centralised in a single system, with one source of truth, defined roles and records you can export when a public body or an audit asks for them.

  • Funded project consortia

Coordinators and partners of Erasmus+, national or regional funded projects

Your proposal committed a digital deliverable, the reporting date is approaching and what exists is a document, a mock-up or a tool nobody has tested with real users.

The committed digital deliverable turned into a working, tested tool that matches what the grant agreement describes, with the technical documentation the project needs.

  • Clubs, academies and centres

Clubs, sport academies, training centres and municipal sport services

Athletes, teams, training calendars and messages to families live in different apps and notebooks, and each coach keeps their own version.

Club management running on SAITO: athletes, teams, calendar and communication in one platform, with recovery and wellbeing follow-up through iRecover. Fee collection is optional custom work, quoted separately.

    See this solution
  • Sports training providers

Training schools, coaching education bodies, referee committees and certifying organisations

Programmes are delivered with a mix of documents, video links and spreadsheets, and proving that a person completed and passed a programme takes manual work every time.

A digital way to run a programme end to end: content and pathway, assessment against a competence framework, progress records and a credential the learner can show and a third party can check.

Verified public outputs

Published software you can open and try today.

Each card links to the public page of the output. Participating in a consortium does not mean sole authorship, so the exact role is stated on every card.

  • SAITO

Published club management application (web and mobile) for athletes, training and competition calendar and communication.

    Our role

Published by Sport Innovation Hub on Google Play as the developer of the application.

  • iRecover

Published application for daily wellness check-in, recovery tasks and squad follow-up by coaching staff.

    Our role

Published by Sport Innovation Hub on Google Play, within an Erasmus+ consortium in which Sport Innovation Hub is a partner.

  • Women Fitness Cycle

Published application for cycle, symptom and training tracking with coach communication, plus a published online course with modules and academic instructors.

    Our role

Sport Innovation Hub is a consortium partner and the publisher of the application. Universitas coordinates the project, as stated on the course page.

  • Sport Academy

Published digital course catalogue with a distributed mobile application.

    Our role

The mobile application is published by Sport Innovation Hub on Google Play.

What happens next

  1. 1

A scoped-fit discussion: we look at your process, your users and your systems.

  2. 2

A written scope and quote, with what is included, what is not and the calendar.

  3. 3

The pilot, accepted against the criteria agreed in that document.

Cost depends on the number of users, the integrations required, the data migration, the languages and the level of support. We do not publish prices or turnaround times: the written proposal confirms price and calendar before any work starts.

Four areas to address the needs of sport organisations.

Ways of working together

  • Sport management platforms

A single place to run the season: registrations, teams, fees, competition calendars, roles and communication with families, with the records an audit or a public body may ask for.

  • Health and performance applications

An application built on an agreed scientific protocol, with consent flows, a defined legal basis for special category data, and feedback the athlete and the coaching staff can actually use.

  • Training and certification platforms

Learning pathways tied to a competence framework, assessment, progress records and credentials that a federation or an employer can check, for coaches, referees and sport staff.

  • Safeguarding and governance systems

A reporting channel, the protocol behind it, staff verification and an auditable case trail, so the protection officer can act and the organisation can show how it acted.

  • Diagnosis and definition

We map what you have, what the regulation requires and what the organisation actually needs, and you receive a specification and a technical approach you can take to any provider.

  • Development and integration

We build the platform or application and connect it to the systems already in use, with pilots in a real sport environment before it goes live.

  • Evolution and maintenance

Support, updates and new features once the product is running, planned with you rather than improvised after launch.

  • Sport science inside the process

Our developers work with sport scientists from the first meeting. What we deliver follows a protocol, not an assumption about how sport works.

  • Sensitive data, handled properly

Minors, health and physiological data are the norm in sport technology. We treat GDPR special categories, impact assessments and explicit consent as design requirements defined with you at the start of each project, and the exact measures are agreed in the scope.

  • European project delivery

Experience in European programmes, with a partner network across Europe. We know how a digital deliverable is specified, built, reported and sustained.

  • Security and compliance as a working framework

We build following GDPR requirements and take the Spanish National Security Framework (ENS), ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 as reference standards for our practices. They are references we work towards, not certifications already awarded.

  • Multilingual by design

Every European project runs in several countries and languages. Dates, sport categories, licence formats and legal flows differ by jurisdiction, so multilingual support is a design requirement we plan from the start and the languages included are agreed in the scope.

  • Total cost of ownership, stated upfront

Most of the cost of sport software comes after launch. Before you commit to building, we put the running costs in writing: hosting, support and evolution, over the period you need to plan for.

Artificial intelligence with governance

We apply AI where there is evidence and a clear benefit for coaches, athletes and organisations, under a management framework that can be presented in a public tender: where data is processed, which decisions remain with people, and how the system is classified under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.

Potential applications

  • Training assistance

Proposed capability: suggestions on load and planning for coaching staff. SAITO carries the brand name Sport AI Training Optimisation on its official site; no generative AI feature is presented as deployed today.

  • Physiological personalisation

Support for personalising physical activity guidance, with specialist review.

  • Recovery recommendations

Support for organising recovery resources for coaches, with professional review.

  • Adherence in physical activity programmes

Support for programme teams in reviewing participation and preparing follow-up.

  • Adaptive assessment in training

Feedback and evaluation within learning pathways for coaches and referees.

Where we do not

  • Automated risk detection in safeguarding

Decisions about people remain with people. Our systems help protection officers prioritise and trace cases; they do not decide.

  • Medical devices

We do not build software intended for diagnosis or clinical treatment.

Thirteen initiatives across management, health, training, safeguarding and sustainability, most of them within European programmes where we work as part of a consortium. Each one has a digital component with its own technical requirements, and our role in each is stated on its page.
